The event aims to provide a forum for discussion of the latest findings and technologies in Engineering education, such as; bioengineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, food engineering, leather engineering, mechanical engineering, textile engineering.
Thanks to ICTs in today’s technology oriented global ecosystem and huge demand for higher education; educational environments and higher education institutions are diversifying. In addition to this; decreasing public funding showed the need for universities to operate more educational researches and make more societal contribution and this led an important change in engineering education. From coding to design, when engineering education takes place in educational activities for any age group the permanency of learning increases and engineering awareness is created at early ages. With the STEAM theory, making sense of the learning and training engineers tend to today’s interdisciplinary team work are aimed by providing interactions with other fields. With easier access to information; young people’s learning skills changed, their interest in visual subjects is increased and their attention span got shorter. All these changes made the revamp of instructional programs and their contents inevitable.
One of the most important factors affecting the quality of education is, engineering instructor’s skills for using principles, methods and technology effectively in their lectures. Within this context distance education, which is a product of rapid improvements in instruction and technology, not only creates opportunities to use both auditory and visual materials but also creates learning environments for individuals to use instruction principles and methods proper to themselves better.
The most important purpose of International Instructional Technologies in Engineering Education Congress whose first we are organizing, is to provide an enterprise to share, discuss and apply the latest advancements in educational technologies to train competent engineers.
We expect your contributions with a rich content. Very best wishes for an efficient congress…
